Why take part in a fasting challenge at the start of the year?

KK: Getting Prolon on your calendar at the start of the new year is a great way to jumpstart longevity and healthspan goals. It also starts the year with a reset – allowing sugar, refined grains, alcohol, etc. to all take a back seat for five glorious fasting days (and hopefully more)! Studies show that resolutions that are too general (such as, “I want to lose weight,” or, “I want to be healthy”) are often the first to fail. As participants learn more about how Prolon works, they often feel more empowered.

How do you help keep participants motivated during all 5 days of the fast?

AZ: I feel like I’m their biggest cheerleader! Yes, I share the science of what’s going on internally, how the fast works, explaining autophagy, etc, but what most are looking for is comfort, warmth, handholding, inspiration and motivation. My personality is such that I’m very warm with them, I make them feel like we are friends and I’m here to hold their hand through the process. I go through the presentation, but then I really “listen” to them, meet them where they are at and assure them that they will be ok.

CS: We celebrate each other's successes, bond over topics like shared "whys" and favorite Prolon foods and laugh about humorous situations – from weird food-related dreams to the agony of missing out on a bit of soup that spilled. The groups educate, empower, and support participants, cultivate community, and enhance the overall experience.
