What can I do to Help Bowel Movements? Can I use Stool Softeners (like Senna or Smooth Move Tea) while on the program?

We have not directly studied the use of stool softeners, laxatives, or pro-motility agents with ProLon. We cannot give any medical advice, and recommend discussing all medication changes or concerns with your healthcare provider.

We encourage people to maintain adequate fluid intake while on ProLon, which has many benefits including helping to maintain bowel regularity. If you regularly take stool softeners or other medications to maintain bowel regularity, your healthcare provider may suggest you continue to do so during ProLon, as long as the preparation is calorie-free.
