Daily Tips — Day 5: You Did It!
Congratulations on making it to the last day of your FMD – on Day 5, you may wake up feeling sharper and recharged! Your body has undergone a significant transformation, and you may also feel lighter or notice a change on the scale. The greatest benefits of your fast, however, go far beyond weight loss alone, by supporting your healthy metabolic markers, and potentially slowing the aging process.
Tips For A Successful Day 5 & Beyond:
- Stay The Course. You're almost at the finish line, so resist the temptation to end your fast early; instead, remain focused these final few hours. You experience the full benefits of this FMD only after your five days are complete, so don't give up now!
- Break Your Fast Gently. For breakfast, we suggest a Fasting Shake, buckwheat porridge, or bone broth. You might enjoy a cooked veggie bowl with beans and avocado for lunch, then introducing something more substantial for dinner, like salmon, rice, and broccoli. Gradually increase your portions over the next few days to avoid overindulging, as eating too much or too quickly can lead to GI upset.
- Incorporate A Longevity Lifestyle. Periodic fasting is a critical piece of the longevity puzzle, but what we choose to eat is also key to lasting health.
